Frequently asked questions
1. Are you a construction company?
Not quite, although I am building something a little different. At construct, moments are crafted around pancakes, connection, and intention.
2. How can I book a seat?
Each event page has a dedicated booking section. Simply select your date and time, and complete your payment to secure your seat.
3. How much does it cost?
Pricing varies depending on the event:
Daytime Balcony Table experiences start from RM49 for 2 gourmet pancakes and a cup of tea.
Nighttime Social Events start from RM85 and include 2 gourmet pancakes, a themed experience, and a house-made mocktail.
World Pancake Day has its set prices accordingly and will be updated a few weeks before the event.
4. What’s the difference between Table for One and the Balcony Table?
Table for One offers a dedicated seat just for you, perfect for those craving quiet, reflection, or simply a moment to themselves. If at any time the option to book the Table for One is not available, reach out to me and I will try to get you a seat.
The Balcony Table welcomes groups of 2–4, ideal for intimate dates or small gatherings. If you'd like t
5. What if it rains?
The balcony is generously covered, but in the event of heavy rain, your group will be moved indoors to a cozy, private setting. Still yours to enjoy, just a little closer to the kitchen.
6. Is parking provided?
Paid parking is available on-site at all times.
If you prefer, you can also park along the main road outside the compound (free, with a short walk).
Additionally, there’s a larger parking area at the nearby tennis courts, with a dedicated shuttle service to bring you to and from the venue according to the posted shuttle schedule.
7. How is The Balcony Table different from the The Shared Table?
The Balcony Table is your private gathering, just your chosen group, no one else.
The Shared Table brings together a curated mix of 6–8 strangers for an evening of pancakes, conversations, and unexpected friendships.
8. What if I'm shy or socially awkward but want to join the Night Events?
You’re more than welcome. There's no pressure to speak, share, or perform. You’re free to simply listen, soak in the atmosphere, and join the conversation if and when you feel comfortable.
Choosing to show up is already enough, you’ll always have a seat at our table.
9. Why is there a time frame (75min) for each booking?
This is a private dining experience, where each table is set for you and your group. To ensure every guest receives that same thoughtful attention, I host only one group at a time. Time frames allow me to maintain the rhythm of the day, honour each booking equally, and create a shared respect for those who come after you. It’s all part of preserving the magic of the experience.
10. Why are your prices higher than a typical café?
I completely understand the question. Unlike traditional cafés, construct offers a fully private setting, a quiet balcony, a curated table, and a hosting style that centres around you.
As a small, independently run establishment, I work with limited quantities that are thoughtfully sourced without the bulk discounts larger establishments enjoy. Every pancake is made fresh, and every ingredient is chosen with care, from the grass fed butter to the berries used, quality is my priority (I am serving you exactly what I eat and love). What you’re paying for isn’t just food, it’s space, presence, and a kind of pause that’s hard to find elsewhere.
And yes, you're just in luck: the food tastes exceptional. From the warmth of the first bite, pancakes made just for you, hot off the pan; the smell of toasted butter in the air; the music curated to hold the moment, it’s everything you look for in a café, only better.
11. Is is Construct or Construct KL?
The “KL” is simply there to identify myself within the city and to make it easier for people to find me online. Since the word “construct” is commonly associated with construction companies, adding “KL” helped distinguish my space, especially when I was just starting out and searches online for “construct” mostly showed building contractors.
So yes, it’s construct, not Construct KL.
